RESILIENCE
MORE THAN A COACH - A PARTNER ON YOUR JOURNEY.
We are a community of coaches, sports cardiologists, and support teams dedicated to helping you reach your athletic goals without compromising your heart health. I’m Alejo Menjura, father, ultradistance athlete, coach, CEO, and survivor of the impossible. I know what it means to push beyond limits, not just physical, but mental and spiritual too.
Here, you’ll find more than just training plans and fitness products for running, cycling, or strength. You’ll find a coach who listens and guides you, who understands your challenges and tailors a strategy to your goals, your life, and your purpose.
YOU DEFINE THE DESTINATION — WE HELP YOU MAP THE WAY.
"Everything we set out to do is possible. Our greatest ally or enemy is our mind."
Diversification of Disciplines:
Alejo Menjura, as Head Coach and founder of AMEN TRAIL, has taken part in major events, including 100 km mountain races, marathons, and extreme challenges such as the Andes Crossing in Chile covering over 1,000 km with 15,000 meters of positive elevation gain.
This variety allows him to develop endurance and adaptability across different terrains and disciplines. He has also completed more than 10 marathons around the world, including Berlin, Tokyo, Chicago, New York, and Lima, among others.
He has received multiple athletic and professional recognitions in Colombia, Peru, and Amsterdam. After his most recent medical event, he was featured in the 12th edition of the International Olympic Committee Course on Cardiovascular Evaluation of Olympic Athletes with the session titled "The Least Expected Day: Code Blue on the Running Trail," led by Dr. Oscar Pérez.
He has served as a CEO for the past 18 years, leading companies ranging from 1,000 to 2,500 employees and generating over 6,000 direct jobs.

Resilience and Personal Overcoming:
After facing significant health challenges, including a diagnosis of "aborted sudden death" during a training session in Bogotá, Menjura has shown remarkable recovery ability. Following open-heart surgery and months of rehabilitation, he completed the Bogotá Half Marathon in 2023, demonstrating his unwavering commitment and mental strength.
Focus on Cardiovascular Health:
Menjura has built an interdisciplinary team with a strong emphasis on heart care for athletes. He actively participates in initiatives that promote cardiovascular health in sports, highlighting the importance of preventive check-ups and raising awareness about the risks associated with high-intensity training
Holistic Training:
His training and that of his team goes beyond the physical aspect; it incorporates practices such as conscious breathing and nutrition, while also prioritizing rest and restorative sleep. This holistic approach enhances performance and overall well-being, where family, work, and environment play a key role in achieving true balance.
Comprehensive Training:
Menjura has documented his experiences in productions such as "Why Do We Run?", which highlights the countryside and rural areas as a means of connecting with nature, without losing sight of each person's roots. The film, available on YouTube, explores the motivations behind long-distance runners.
